Halcrow Eclipses 1500 Career Assist Mark for Oak Ridge Volleyball

Updated: Aug 24, 2020

Senior Captain Paige Halcrow, a Varsity Setter since her Freshman season, has seen a lot of hitters come and go, but one thing that has been consistent has been her ability to set the ball well enough for her Hitters to find a Kill. Despite running a 6-2 Offense throughout her entire High School career, Halcrow surpassed the 1500 Assist mark for the Lady Wildcats on August 20th in the five-set thriller with Anderson County.

"It feels amazing to hit that mark at the start of my Senior year," said Halcrow. "It's been a long journey and not knowing if I would even have a final season [due to COVID], I am so happy that I am able to celebrate this with my teammates!"

Halcrow has been voted Captain by her Teammates for the past three seasons as she is not only recognized for her skills, but also for her energy, leadership, and work ethic. "She makes this look so easy," said Oak Ridge Coach Dave Kolodney of his three-year Captain. "But it is anything but. No one runs down more balls than she does. She is a huge reason for our success over the past four seasons."

Halcrow has a goal to crack the 2000 Assist mark before the season is over. "I hope I can," commented Halcrow. "A big goal but I will keep working hard!"
