The Oak Ridge Lady Wildcat Volleyball Team traveled to Powell on Tuesday night easily sweeping the Lady Panthers 3-0. “This was a total team effort tonight with all 10 players playing meaningful roles in our rotation,” said Oak Ridge Head Coach Dave Kolodney. “We had a really good night from the service stripe.” The Lady Wildcats established their 4th highest serve percent of all time in the victory as well as Acing at a 30% clip. “We’ve talked a lot over the past several matches about cutting down our unforced errors and making our serves,” Kolodney continued. “We can influence what happens on the other side of the net but we can control our own play and minimize errors.” And control Oak Ridge did – siding out the Lady Panthers 100% of the time and contributing only 4 attack errors on 57 swings. “Minimizing these errors are so important to making a deep playoff run,” finished Kolodney.
The Lady Wildcats play again Thursday night at Bearden and has two scheduled matches next week to close out the regular season. The Lady Wildcats improve to 13-2 on the season (9-0 District 4-AAA).
